Both intricate and ambiguous, the cream, maroon and violet patterns swirl effortlessly around the fabric of this 20″ by 75″ georgette scarf. It is hard to decipher what exactly the print entails, but it is incredibly simple to see how beautiful and eye-catching it truly is.

This 1227 Indochine Scarf, a member of Zazou’s Fall 2013 collection, wholesales for $12 and was inspired by temples from the depths of the jungle.

The accessory is offered in crimson (shown), shadow blue and spice. The latter has more brown and beige coloring.

This Autumn-inspired, orange and brown ombre scarf has fringe and fierceness for days! Where some scarves utilize only an inch or two of fringe, this scarf, from the Fall 2013 Zazou collection, has nearly a foot of fabulous fringe, giving it an air of playfulness.

This 6199 Dipped Knit Scarf wholesales for $18 and is 8″ by 87″. It is characterized as a butterknit with long fringe (you can say that again!). It is offered in cinnamon/brown (pictured), grayed denim, plum/cabernet and blue.

Happy Thursday my pretty little zebras!

Today has been a bit unorthodox for me, which I love! Instead of primarily sitting at my desk typing away at my computer, I have been busy helping one of my fellow interns in the sample room. The sample room is filled to the brim with clothes and accessories, and the walls are lined with beautiful scarves of all shapes, colors, sizes and textures.

Our task for the afternoon was to organize the scarves onto boards, and line them up in accordance to color, length, fabrication and by how many scarves in that particular style we had in stock.

This was a fun challenge because it was extremely tangible and we were able to express our creativity.

Now, the room is miraculously organized, and all of the scarves are ready to be sent to the various showrooms Sterling Styles and Zazou will be participating in throughout the month of August.

We used skills learned from classes such as AMM 270 and 160 and AMM 160L, Textile Sciences, because we also organized the pieces by fabrication when necessary.

However, I am now back to my copywriting duties, typing away as I create content for this blog and the Zazou website. Earlier, I also completed some clerical work for the office.

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling Zazou 22!

Hello little zebras! Today, July 30, 2013, is my 22nd birthday and my 12th day here at my Zazou and Sterling Styles internship. Therefore, the alternative title to this post could be Internship Day 12!

It has already been a busy morning. After arriving at 9:30 a.m., I changed the links on our Mail Chimp email blasts from venue information to show information. This means that when customers click the links, they will receive information about each show that Zazou is manning a showroom within, instead of just information about the location hosting the event. This was a learning experience for me, and I am glad I was able to change this information today.

Additionally, I was able to email product information and images to NYNOW, a site for one of the showroom locations Zazou will be participating in. The below image will be posted on NYNOW, allowing buyers and other exhibitors to view the information in a Pinterest-like manner.

6455 Dappled Knit Loop

This is the 6455 Dappled Knit Loop, and I must say, I think the model looks absolutely stunning!

I have more than 800 Sterling Styles descriptive blurbs done, so I will hopefully complete the last 200 today.

The letter for Zazou sales representatives has been finalized as well, and I shall await more assignments from the head honchos here at Zazou and Sterling Styles.

Thank you so much for sharing my birthday with me. Think good thoughts about a fun and productive day, while enjoying this very appropriate Taylor Swift song!!

When admiring the silver Mohair Scarf from the Fall 2013 Zazou collection, a certain rhyme comes to my mind: “Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold.”

The message I take from this? Old scarves are gold, but new ones are beautiful, sleek silver, just like this chic accessory that is perfectly paired with a black leather jacket. A silver scarf such as this can add the final touch to the outfit of any feminine rock star who knows how to have a great time, whether at a dinner party or riding on her Harley Davidson.

This silver Mohair Scarf exemplifies what accessories are supposed to be: individualistic pieces that can turn up the volume on any ensemble. Yes, a great pair of jeans and a glossy leather jacket make for a great fashion pair, but the addition of a silver scarf makes it even better, and creates a look all your own. This silver scarf wins the gold medal, without a doubt!

Geometric lines in varying hues of blue create graphic, infinite squares in this Parquet scarf, a piece from the Fall 2013 Zazou collection, which will soon be posted on zazou.com

What is so appealing about this certain accessory is how the intrinsic lines resemble squared pools in differing depths. The lighter blue is like a shallow pond, whereas the darker blues are like deep oceans you could almost dove into!

Unbelievably so, it is my 10th day at the office, as I work to complete my internship for my Apparel Merchandising and Management major at Cal Poly Pomona. As mentioned before, once I complete this internship and the course associated with it, I will be able to apply for graduation and receive my diploma from college!

Getting back to accomplishments closer at hand, I will begin the morning by stating how excited I am that I have finally picked the day (today) to wear my zebra shirt! I have been wanting to wear this top on a Tuesday or Thursday so as to properly represent this Zazou blog, who, as we all know, is symbolized by a zebra!

Today is a self sufficient day, in which I will work on projects that were assigned to me last week, and some that were assigned even earlier. For example, each day I try to get through at least 100 descriptive blurbs on the Sterling Styles website. There are also more ad campaigns that can be accomplished for the New York show room in August, and the designs and information pertinent to both the Zazou and Sterling Styles sites must be fine tuned as well.

And of course, one of my favorite duties at this internship, is adding posts and content to this blog, while simultaneously raising awareness about https://www.zazou.com/z_index.php

I am still being helped by what I learned in classes such as AMM 230 and 270, in which descriptors and visual design were so important.

Thank you everybody for reading, and from all of us here at Zazou, have a fantastic day 😀

If I have said it once, I have said it 1,000 times: you can never, ever go wrong with animal print!

This Animal Print scarf from the Fall 2013 Zazou collection is simple, yet beautiful, and takes its main design from one of the most majestic creatures on Earth: a leopard.

The typical print of leopard is slightly altered in this scarf, seeing as the background is a light, airy blue instead of a tan brown. Hints of purple are woven into the fabric as well, giving the accessory a very laid back feeling.

Good morning little Zebras!

Today is Thursday and, as usual, there is a lot on the agenda 🙂

As you can see in my silly self portrait, some color has been added to the office. There are currently 11 different styles of blouses hanging on the metal bars in my room here at Sterling Styles and Zazou. All of these Sterling designs are from the “Champagne Collection” and must be given names, which is where I come in. Hopefully, I will be able to do a similar task for new Zazou scarves as well.

I will also continue to write the hundreds of descriptive blurbs necessary on the Sterling Styles website, create four more Mail Chimp ads for Zazou and Sterling, work on this blog and, this afternoon, call our friend Christopher Carroll and discuss tasks associated with the Zazou website and the upcoming Zazou Fall catalogue.

Since I have conversed with so many different people associated in the industry, whether it is with my bosses here or with Chris and Claudia, and I have extended my knowledge I learned about the industry in AMM 496, Issues in Retail Management.

And when I get home this evening, I plan to sleep, sleep and sleep some more!

As always, wish me luck and enjoy Zazou1982!

1233_GossamerWingScarf_Rico_130410_132

This scarf, from the Fall 2013 collection from Zazou, perfectly unites two feminine details: flowers and bows.

The print of this beautiful mauve and green scarf consists of a subtle floral print, but what makes this particular picture so fun is how the stylist created the bow underneath the model’s chin.

While most wraps are gingerly draped around one’s neck or tied in a knot of sorts, this Gossamer Wing Scarf is sweetly draped along the woman’s collarbone and accented with the bow, creating a unique look perfect for any girly girl.
